Get an overview of North Carolina’s history of illicit distilling that features firsthand accounts
and stories from some of the state’s most famous moonshiners, from K. Todd Johnson,
executive director of the Johnston County Heritage Center in Smithfield.
Mr. Johnson regrets that no samples of the product he is discussing can be provided to his audience. June 29th.


Stepping into the Craft - Saturdays in Seagrove

Experience something new and adventurous as you spend your Saturdays in Seagrove.
During the month of July the pottery shops in Seagrove have something new and exciting planned for you!
You can participate in hands-on activities during this special month long event.
Try making pottery on the wheel or learn a hand-building technique.
The potters are willing to share behind the scenes activities, so you can join in the fun!
Shops are open from 10:00 - 5:00.
Seagrove is located in the central piedmont of North Carolina where more than 100 ceramic artists call home.


Summer Concert Series - Sand Band

The City of Asheboro is proud to present the 2017 Summer Concert Series with seven unique evenings of entertainment at Bicentennial Park.
Enjoy an evening of family fun with your community.
The Sand Band plays Carolina Beach Music with a whole lot of soul on July 2nd!


Liberty July Celebration

Mark your calendars for the July 8th, 2017 Liberty July Celebration.
In downtown Liberty we will be starting with a Color Run at 8:00 am
to benefit the Liberty Veterans Memorial (Charges on this event)
The kids parade (decorate those bicycles or wagons) starts at 2:45 pm along with bands
arts and crafts, kids zone and food the rest of the evening.
Fireworks begin at 9:30 behind the Liberty Elementary School.This is a free event for all except the Color
